What problem are logistics companies experiencing?

First, each tachograph file download was manual and time-consuming. It required numerous clicks and separate authorizations for each file. This process took over 40 hours monthly for the company with 100 vehicles and drivers.

Second, the company struggled to track tachograph data downloads for specific vehicles and drivers. This complicated defining download schedules. Uncertainties like border crossings and vehicle issues also led to missing downloads.

• Automatic download:. With just one approval, the system quickly and automatically gets the tachograph data for many vehicles.

How it works?

1. The program scans the company’s database to identify drivers and vehicles needing downloads based on previous download times.
2. The program works with all tachograph-compatible GPS trackers made by Ruptela and Teltonika.
3. It automates operator authorization using the company card for identification.
4. The program initiates downloads for each driver and vehicle until all pending downloads are completed.
5. Each new download is automatically authorized without manual intervention.
6. Downloaded files are neatly stored in Diskette, a service application for working with file storage.
7. The program generates a log file documenting all successful downloads.

Result

Before implementing the digital tachograph data solution, the operators needed 15–20 days each month to download all required files. (based on 300-truck fleet). Previously, operators had to manually locate and save each file, which was time-consuming and less organized without CAST’s program.
